Nothing important. Both terms describe a part-time security executive. We use "fractional CISO."
Can a fractional CISO help us build a GRC program from scratch?

Do you replace our IT provider?
No. We work with your IT provider. They keep systems running; we set security direction and check that it is done. Collaboration is how we work. In most projects, we work alongside the company's IT team, in-house or an MSP, and other specialists such as penetration testing firms. Together, we build a stronger security posture than any one of us could alone.
Do you work outside Iowa?
Yes. We work with clients across the U.S. and Europe: from Sioux City to Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and Grand Junction, and in the UK and Ireland. Most work is remote, with on-site visits when and where they make sense.
